  • Hojicha (ほうじ茶): Green tea leaves that are roasted over charcoal, resulting in a brownish color and a toasty flavor.

 


  • Hishaku (柄杓): A bamboo ladle used in the tea ceremony for transferring water.

 


  • Hagi ware/Hagi yaki (萩焼): Hagi-yaki is a type of pottery produced in the Hagi area of Yamaguchi Prefecture. Some kilns are also located in Nagato City and Yamaguchi City. Hagi ware produced in Nagato City is especially called Fukagawa Hagi. It has been known since ancient times as “Ichiraku (one), Hagi (two), and Karatsu (three),” and is known for pottery that is favored by tea masters.
